AMG produced a terrific engine that lives up to their reputation as the best in the business of large V8 engines. Lamborghini created a very successful car with its Gallardo line releasing it to the world 2003. With a 5.2-liter V10 motor and a lighter overall weight than the bigger Murcielago, the Gallardo was a capable sports car that could also soak up the miles should you wish to do so. Like most Lamborghini models produced as of late there were several variations and configurations, all of which touched on a different specialty. You could get it in typical all-wheel drive; race-derived two-wheel drive, Spyder form, or in the always popular Superleggera variant like this excellent dark gray example.

Now Newport McLaren is showing off its latest P1, which happens to be number eight for the dealer, painted in a subtly wonderful Flintgrau Metallic.

If you have something against the internal combustion engine but still crave a high performing car, the Tesla Model S fits the bill. It has a motor rated at 380hp, will click off a 0-60 run in a respectable 5.4 second, and has a top speed of 140mph all while getting an EPA-estimated range of 265 miles with the 85kWh battery. That is pretty good performance and all but some crave an even more potent vehicle, which is why Tesla also offers a P85D performance package.
The legendary AMG division was established over 45 years ago in 1967 by two former Mercedes engineers, Mr. Hans Werner Aufrecht and Mr. Erhard Melcher, both of whom developed racing engines for Daimler Benz’s racing department. As the years went by, Daimler Benz began to discontinue all racing activities, but Aufrecht and Melcher continued engine development in a garage in Aufrecht’s birth town of Grossapach, Germany, near Stuttgart.
The recent Super Sprint supercar event in Dubai attracted some truly insane vehicles. In the course of the event, several drag races were held, and two of them were recorded in this video. The competitors were none other than the McLaren P1 and two Bugatti Veyrons.
